I’ve been asked since this long and drawn out election started why I hate Harper and the Conservatives. I’ve probably been unfriended by a few folks as well with my daily ranting and ravings about why we should vote for anyone but Harper and his circus.
How do I hate thee?…Let me count the ways!
Our forefathers helped build this country for over 100 years. Yet we are referred to as new or existing Canadians…because we or our forefathers came here in the last few generations. Those that have been here for longer are considered ‘Old Stock Canadians’. I’m sorry Mr. Harper, but I’ve seen immigrants here work their asses off to provide for their families, taking jobs that ‘Old Stock Canadians’ don’t want. They came here with nothing, worked double shifts, built homes, put their kids through school and paid taxes. Our stock will stack up against anyone else’s.
Lately you found a wedge issue…the niqab. That seems to be helping you solidify votes for this election. But you fuck nut! Have you ever thought about what you’re doing to this great nation? In the last ten years you have been in power you have fucked my Canada up! YES…MY Canada. I was born here, but my parents weren’t. So I have no idea if I’m a new or existing Canadian…but because I don’t fit your mold of ‘Canadian’, I’m definitely not an ‘Old Stock Canadian’.
You say the you are fighting the niqab issue for security and for suppressed women. REALLY? If you care about women’s rights why do you not support the right for them to choose, when it comes to abortion? Are you not suppressing them and their right?
Your niqab issue also creates another issue….in the long run. You may win the vote or a few extra seats with it, however, you will sink our country and ‘Real Canadian Values’ further down the shit hole have pushed them already. Our country is based on equality and multiculturalism. Unlike the United States, where it is a melting pot, where you assimilate. We are a mosaic, we become Canadian and keep our heritages and culture. We celebrate Christmas, Easter and Halloween, but we also celebrate Diwali, Eid, Chinese New Year, Vaisakhi and Holi. HELL! I even celebrate Remembrance Day! You know why? Because us Indians, were there fighting along the Canadians in WW1 & WW2 holding the lines at Vimy Ridge and fighting for these rights you are now taking away from us. YES, as hard it may be for you to believe, our forefathers spilt blood with yours in the trenches.
Let me ask you….would you allow the turban into the army or armed forces today? Cause you had an issue with it a few years ago being introduced as part of the RCMP uniform. Now you tell my community that you’re a champion for my community? EAT A DICK!
Your greed and thirst for power is radicalizing white power groups and making us, slowly the enemy. I’m not Muslim, but color is brown…and for some that’s close enough.
So when you speak of radicalizing and terrorism and guarding the Canadian values…are you speaking of someone else or yourself?
And last but not least….your treatment of those that fight your fights. Those that go and protect others and us. The way they are treated is SICK AS FUCK! What you have done to the brave men and women of this nation that offered up their lives for your UNCANADIAN Policy is disgusting. We have been known to be peacekeepers and supporting only UN or NATO missions. But that’s all changed. If we can’t take care of our veterans we should be ashamed. I actually am…but you should be more so! The lack of resources and help for veterans and first responders is unreal. The people that protect the public and the people that keep Canada safe are put through hell, appeal after appeal before you can’t appeal it anymore…in the end you always lose, but waste years of people’s lives. But you’re wasting my money and other’s as well (both old and new stock Canadians and those that wear and don’t wear a niqab – yes, we all pay taxes).
So please do us a favour and be a good captain and sink with your ship. So those that jumped on the life rafts….MacKay & Baird may bring in some respect to your party when they run for leadership.
To those that actually read this, please vote! Our forefathers fought and spilt blood to gain this vote. This is the least we can do to respect their fight.
