International Recording and Film Star Raj Brar’s Intervention against SABC (RED FM 93.1FM) Application to the CRTC. He alleges they basically finished this man financially after he put everything he had into his movie and they failed to pay him. Setting his career back some 6 years.

He alleges he was hospitalized due to the stress and ended up in a coma for twelve days!

He also touches on issues of Monopoly of a radio station, distribution all under one company’s control. Click the first link to see his Intervention. The others show how all companies are linked and are owned by the same person.

JC Sona ft Dalvinder Singh & Tino Attila – Nakhro

Wow! Been super busy learning Windows Movie Maker. So my first project, 18 years in the making, if you believe it or not! My brother and I released a remix album called ‘One & Only – The Kuldeep Manak Remixes’. A video was supposed to follow, but never did. In an age before Facebook, YouTube, Tveeter Tvooter, this album managed to become one of the highest selling remix albums across the globe. And still stocked on shelves. You know you did good when you go to India and it’s been pirated by another artist on their album! I remember when this album dropped I had a chance to meet Manak Sahib in Vancouver and was excited to tell him that we had just done a remix album…he was pissed off! Remixes were fairly new to the scene, especially Manak Mixes. He said why did you fuck my music up? I made it and it should be listened to the way I made it. I explained that I loved the originals, but the next generation wasn’t into it, or very few were. This was a way to bring the folk tales of Punjab to the youth and the future. He listened to it and gave me a ‘THAPPI’ (pat on the shoulder) and said good job! This is actually pretty good. We had some great recording sessions in Vancouver as well as in India, before his passing (R.I.P.)

We’ve been hounded for years to do another project, but we wanted to do something worth working on. Well, going through our old skool boxes of music, guess what we found?….unreleased remixes that were supposed to be on the second album and even better, RAW vocals of Manak Sahib himself!

Keep an eye out here for more news and tracks!
